P1 clutch problem ????
#1
How it going.
Had my P1 now for about one month and loving it. Just noticed over the last few mornings that it has been a little bit dodgy on the clutch first thing in the morning for about the first 1/2 mile in town.
Whats happening is that when the engine is cold and i'm coming out of a junction, as I let the clutch slip out to pull off the car has a judder about half way up the clutch.
Once the car is warm there is no more problems but it re-occurs if it has been sitting all day again and its cold again.
Anybody out there had this before and know what it is or any experts any ideas ?
The car is still under warranty but i just want a bit of knowlwdge about the potential problem b4 i knock on the local Mr Scoobys door.
knowledge is power and all that....
cheers
Ps i'm running on optimax or super...whatever is closest

Every decently powered car I've ever had, including my '98, has done that at this time of the year, and my P1 is no different.
IMHO, what you're describing doesn't sound like the clutch judder people have had fixed under warranty, it sounds more like a result of the cold, damp air at this time of year. My P1 started doing it a couple of weeks ago, as it did this time last year. Doesn't bother me as I know it'll improve when the weather does, although I've found that it's less of a problem if I put the car in the garage whilst it's still warm.
If it gets worse, then take it to the dealer, and get them to sort it out.
