Not a big fan of Christmas and feeling bit low at the moment so to cheer myself up I'm going to splash a little cash on the scooby, either now or in January.

MY01 PPP with Prodrive headlights and Rallytech spoiler, only looking to spend £500-£600 (24 month service also due in Feb ) and so far I'm down to the following:

(1) Set of STI fog light covers and Eibachs (probably from TSL) - about £400.00 plus fitting. Although wouldn't actually be traveling all the way up to TSL so wont be having geometry settings done also.

(2) Exhaust goodies courtesy of Scoobysport - but not sure what exactly to go for. Downpipe and CEL fix obviously a must but what are people's verdicts on up pipes? Is it worth changing the centre section and back box when I've already got a PPP equivalents? Downpipe, up pipe and CEL fix comes in at around £500.00 plus fitting.

I must say I'm edging towards option 2 as the car looks pretty good as it is (IMHO of course ) and I can live with the handling.
I do miss the sound of the full scoobysport system I had on my old MY96 but will I need the back box and centre section to achieve a similar effect or will the down and up pipe plus PPP do the job.

Decisions, decisions, any help or advice much appreciated.

Mods, please feel free to move post if you think it should be in another forum.

Cheers

Chris

Don't bother buying anything for the car, buy an iPod instead.

Chris

Forget the scoob and buy yourself a week away in the sun somewhere to get away from all this festive crap

I offered to work on Christmas Day ( anything to avoid a day with the family ) but the damned office is closed. How inconsiderate of them

I would consider suspensions and Ferodo ds 2500 and a 5.1 oil. The best way to be faster!!
However if you change the downpipe you also need to get rid of the cat in the up pipe if you don't want it to rock and roll into the turbo!!

Will you get a decent suspension set up for £500 - £600?? Thought you would have to spend a little more than that to get something significantly better than what you have?!

Personally I'd go for the exhaust mods. Little bit more power and THAT pure Scooby music!

Another option is a nice set of gauges???
