I am new here but who gives a $hit.
I have a 310ish bhp cossie, now give me your opinions on whether yours is quicker standard or slightly modded.
For the record i love the EVO's,but how quick are they?
Be truthful cause you know cossie's can beat the japanese even though they are centuries old!
No war,just curious.

Boring.
My lawn mowers faster than your lawn mower. I can cut my grass in 20 minutes.
My electric razors faster than your electric razor. I can shave in 8.4 seconds @ 174 mph.
Enjoy your car for what it is. Who gives a toss about which is faster.

Quicker, schmicker, who cares.
My scoob doesn't have as high a bhp as your cossie, but driven by Mr Burns he'd kick your ar$e big time.
Go to a track meet and see for yourself.

Craig, reckon he is the same bloke - his 1st post looks pretty damn typical. If he is the same bloke stand by for some fireworks folks - it's worth reading some of the posts he's been involved with on the RS board.

Jon - Be careful. I think they must be watering your beer. Mine does it in 8 flat backwards with the handbrake on down the pub.

perhaps the newbies should look at dyno.scoobynet.co.uk for benchmarks.
And then perhaps the peeps that like SantaPod days could do a show down.
I have no doubt a lot of Cosworth's are faster than my scooby straight line.

I can confirm after being passenger in Mikes car (and surviving :eek , it does in fact handle pretty well.
On fast A roads I don't think a Scoob would cope - B roads it's the opposite.

Craig,
I concur, but that is because I have set the car up as a track tool and so the suspension is compromised on bumpy roads. So B-roads are definitely not what a big power Cossie is all about. For a start, it's yawning until the speeds get into three figures and with enough power to wheelspin at 115-125mph in third gear in a completely straight line in the wet . Also in the dry the slightest bump will light the tyres up if the throttle is on the floor and there is any amount of lock applied. The resultant spin on a narrow country lane is something I would NEVER wish to experience.
Also due to the tall gearing and big turbo, the off-boost driving is absolutely pants. But plans are afoot to change all that . Watch this space...
Best regards
Mike R

Mike my reply was meant for the tw*t who started this thread. Although I can see how you thought it was meant for you. Total respect to you, your car sounds the dogs. But your not the one who seems to think that speed is everything, well then again 190mph I'm not saying that people are shallow if all they want is a really fast car, if I didn't want that I would have bought a Micra. but why is it that some people think that speed is all it takes to be the best car. I know you're not one of these by the way.
edited because I done my eeks! wrong.
