It's been a while since I've seen a post on this favourite issue amongst MY01 owners, but I'm sure the issue hasn't gone away yet.....

It is exactly 8 weeks to the day since I ordered my PPP through Gatwick Group. Is my dealer just being slow, or is everyone else waiting this long - or longer.....

Here's hoping I'm the only one with this problem (yeah right!)

Question;

why exactly does it take so long to get the PPP in?

Can anyone answer this?

Seamus - that'll be mine then. Ordered in July - got sooo fed up waiting got the fully Scoobysport kit and waiting for the Link. When they phones to say it was in I told them I didn't want it

Bob - they take out your ECU when fitting the new one and reconfigure yours to install in someone elses, hence the slow turnaround.

The dealers have to wait for Prodrive to hand them over.

The UK300s were moved to the top of the waiting list so that took 300 straight off Prodrives stock to supply.

Saying that when I confirmed the fact I wanted one with my dealer (Adams in Aylesbury) it took them about two weeks to get it. Two weeks after I said I would be wanting one.

It is getting fitted on Monday (sorry).

The delays mave have something to do with the dealer relationships with Prodrive and Subaru.

Some people were saying their dealers told them 2-3 weeks back in september!!!!

There is still a 2 month wait if you order now (non UK300) according to my dealer - so if anyone starts quoting 2-3 weeks to you id recommend the following:

Ask them to write a contract saying it will be fitted for free if they dont do it after 3 weeks

See how quickly they change their tune

Demand is much greater than supply at the moment. Only reason i got mine done was the boss of the dealership let me knick his place on the list 'cause i kicked up a stink......

oh, and then i got the first faulty ECU in the country
