Pulled by plod this morning doing the school run. Driving at 5 miles an hour in traffic and he decides to pull me having seen the detector on the windscreen.
I'm pretty sure that they are still legal - but just wouldn't mind your opinions.

Paul

Plod was probably looking for a real criminal like you , and did not want to arrest people for violent crime, or even dangerous driving habits like parking on the pavement outside schools, or on the zig-zags etc.

For some information, check out the

Question

Paul,

Did the officer fine you or did he take the detector off you? What did he say about it?

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
I feel a bit happier now. I knew that when I bought the thing two & a half years ago it was definately 'legal', but had seen posts over the months about plods intentions to make them illegal again!!
Hello Wrexy,
no he didn't take it off me, and he didn't seem to know much about it other than (I guess) the fact that it looked somewhat dubious. He made a note of the 'make'& serial number of device on the document to be produced at the station.
No fine either, just a producer!!
A complete waste of time really, the only thing he achieved was to cause total mayhem during the rush hour by blocking an already conjested road for 20 mins.
Contender for Muppet of the day me thinks.
