Insurance claim querry

Please can someone help with the following. My car had a rear end shunt that took over 5 months to repair due to parts availability - insurance company slowness. It was a no fault accident and the third party admitted liability. I am fully comp but did not receive a courtesy car from my insurance company because the car is an import and could not be repaired by their approved garages. My solicitor that was appointed to me by the insurance company says that I will get £10 per day for loss of use of my car, Does this sound fair? I also asked him to claim for the 40%(£700) of the cost of my insurance that was running while the car was being repaired and also the outstanding road tax. The solicitor reckons that this cannot be claimed for what do you guys reckon.
