Firstly thanks to those who welcomed me last week as a new one learning the ropes.

Had the first few hours with my STi5 yesterday and it will take a little getting used to after the 944 Turbo.

Ride is harder, so are seats.
Steering is lighter.
I've already been challanged by a Toyoda Corrola. This never happened before - although there was one time i was cuffed by a Toyota Carina but that's a different story.
Put in 50 pounds of SUL compared to 65 of UL with the needle near E. Hopefully travelling distance is similar, the 944 gave me about 450kms per tank with A/C on (500 without).
Less squeeks / rattles, although there are a couple (driver's door and boot).
Not so useful door bins although i can park a glider in the glove box - pity it does not lock.
Scoob stereo is not as bad as i feared after reading this bbs although there is no adjustments possible to the sound - i need to consider another Panasonic system maybe.
Harder to park, at the moment, because i've never had bucket seats before.

Over all the car is........eager.

It is difficult to know whether it is quicker than the 944 beacuse of the ride height etc. and it will take me a while to remember i have an extra 1500rpm to play with so far so good.

Very happy.
