AP or Prodrive and Intrax or Proflex or Lebda
#1
I'm buying a WRX tuned with PPP and Suspension
now i need to know what and why??
AP 6 pot?
Prodrive brake upgrade?
Intrax suspension?
Lebda C?
Proflex?
I'll add comments i've heard so far:
AP 6 pot?
expensive to maintain, and more suited if you do trackdays and afterwards come it for a service, not really suiteble for road use
Prodrive brake upgrade?
ease to maintain and good
Intrax suspension?
good
Lebda C?
very good
Proflex?
more suited for rally's and if not maintained every 2 months it"ll break
can you guys and girls also add you comments?
so i can make a founded decision
It'll be a Plus version of the bugeyed model
and it'll be tuned as a trackcar
i mean, i'll also use it for 30.000miles/year on public roads
but there will be a trip to the nurburgring every month....
and i don't care about the hardness or noise for normal road use...
i want a proper race car and no more luxury after having owned an
audi S3 for 1,5 years...

On the suspension front DMS seems to be a popular option, the only query is the support (rebuilds etc.). The quality is certainly there but there are plenty of people on here who have tried several setups and would be far better qualified to comment.

The other advantage that the AP's have over the Alcon kit, is that when it coes around to repacing the discs.
Alcon around the 4-500 a set.
AP around 300 a set.
Dan
Prices might have changed since I last looked.

recently installed ap 6 pots, and they are excellent for the road, very progressive etc. Of course overkill for just road use, but still a more brakes per £ than the alternative prodrive version
