Series McRae
In June 1995, to celebrate their winning of both the manufacturers and drivers World Rally Championship titles, Subaru in the UK released a limited edition run of two hundred cars (numbered 1 to 201 - no number 13!) prepared by Prodrive going by the name of the Series McRae. The main improvements over the standard model are:

Special mica blue paintwork
6.5 x 16 inch eight spoke gold Speedline Safari alloy wheels
Pirelli P Zero 205/50 ZR 16 low profile tyres
Recaro sports front seats with open headrests and Series McRae motifs
All seats (front and back) and door panelling retrimmed in Le Mans/Avus material
Factory fitted electric tilt and slide sunroof
Interior numbered Series McRae plaque
Side and rear Series McRae decals
On the road price was £22,999

I think the cars were "standard" UK spec?

cheers guys - just an associate of mine has one and is trying to tell me that his one has 280bhp - is he talking sh1te?! it is standard other than a magnex back box.

Ive got a 96 Sti RA V-Ltd, its 374 of 555 with the Mcrae Motif's and 1995 World Champion badge. With back box and Filter it could be 280bhp although that would be running on Jap 100 Ron Fuel. Are you certain its a Uk car ??

yes the car is uk and the number is within the 1 to 201 of the ltd editions that were done - he is clearly talking bow-tucks! not theres nowt wrong with any impreza - just fibs like that don't get past me or my friends at scoobynet!
