Good to meet everybody again. Thanks MTR for yet another top route. We had to leave the pub fairly soon after arriving so didn't get chance to thank you personally.

Mate (Ian) in the Blue LHD Audi TT 225 enjoyed it too and is well up for the next one.

Top run down the Snake Pass with DBM Scoob (ADY reg). Strines road ideal for the Scoobs.

When is NM7?

Cheers,

Ian E.

Lmao @ Salsa "Who brought the Caravan!"

Not sure but I heard rumours that the caravan had been tweaked by prodrive for handling.

The best 'NM' run I have done so far, despite the 'Let's drive @ 36 mph everywhere' brigade.

Hello all,
Would just like to thank all of you for attending, and I hope you all had a enjoyable time.

We managed 65 cars on the run, and two more Imprezas at the start who couldn't come on the run, but just came to say hello.

Thanks to Paul and Adge for bringing along a brace of 22b's for us lesser mortals to ogle.
Nice to see the Nissan 240/260Z's?, they brought back memories, the TVR Chimera, very tasty, Bren's very clean Cosworth Sierra (sorry about the tyre Bren), Bob T's Fiesta Si (he likes a mention), and obviously all the assorted Imprezas WRX's STi's, UK Turbo's and anything in between.

Thanks to Mark L from T & M Motors and Dave and Andy from Jap Innovations (that was their Transit at the entrance to the carpark)for their support as usual. You will find advertisment sheets for both companies in the folders I handed out, along with the Robinsons of Rochdale 17.5% discount voucher, which I hope will be of use to some of you.

Thanks to Scott for the ride in his RC Development heavily modified Impreza WRX, producing approx 400BHP.
It has a very smooth power delivery, which remains constant right through into 5th gear.
It is quite deceptive, as you don't realise how hard it's accelerating in 5th until he lifts the throttle, and you go forward in your seat.
The push in the back is there all the time you are accelerating.

Thanks to Micheal Townend (Super Slider) who collected £100 selling raffle tickets, of which £50 is going to a Cancer Charity, and £50 went to Scotts passenger, the chap from RC Developments (sorry I didn't get your name), who obviously went home with a big smile on his face.

The view from the carpark, mid way round, was spectacular for those of you that stopped to look, but it was very windy.

All in all,m I had an enjoyable and thankfully uneventful day, and I trust you all had some of the same.

MTR himself (my son Matthew) wasn't able to attend today, but has been giving me the third degree as to who did, in what car etc

Cheers MTR

Sorry I missed it guys, but as well as working, I am having trouble with my rear end On the car you muppets!!!!!

The set up isn't good for B-roads and I get too much oversteer now as I take off round corners - a bit unerving at times, especially if it happens at low speed!!!

I have yet to solve my coolant leak and need to replace my pulley.

So here is to the next one which I have promised myself I will attend

Hi

What a tremendous run out! Cheers MTR, ta for the mention too

I think the best bit for me was the downhill run, the bit with the big wooden posts on both sides, I saw an indicated chuffing fast and din't take a breath the whole way down! At the bottom I turned to my pax and said" that was a bit hairy"! He let go of the handles, took his feet out of the engine bay and replied " well I'm glad you thought so too"!

It always good meeting folk, hi to everyone, Lee, Charlie whiskey, Gridlock Mikey, MDB, Lizzywhizz, Mikey singh? I think, Mellow, Graham, Heather, Steve. Blimey, I'm sure there were more aswell, sorry I can't remeber the names, hey, I was out till 2.30 and still showed you scoobs how to go on!

Thanks to MTR for a top route again & the Midlands posse for an orderly convoy up and an enjoyable run back via 'The Buxton Bypass'

Nice to meet BOB.T at last!

See some of you next week for a run just a little further south

My first NM - a top morning out. Thanks for the hard work on the planning MTR.

Damn, some of those roads were bumpy at, erm, urm, 70 MPH officer! You soon find out what is rolling around loose in your car.

Hope I didn't hold up too many people on that last cracking stretch

Well impressed with the Va Va Voom factor on Jon's Clio 172. Looks great in that colour

Another £50 to charity as well - £2 donations soon add up and when you're about to burn 35 to 40 quid of petrol doesn't hurt.

Cracking run back - thanks Mr Whiskey.

Fantastic run out, havent laughed so much in ages! Being scared silly does strage things to your sense of humour (well YOU try keeping up with a pair of modded Scoobys with mad drivers in the wet in an old RWD Sapp Cossy! ).

I sacfificed most of my exhaust to the great God 'bump' but I think the fireworks display shooting out of the back of the car as the centre box ground its way to oblivion, combined with the sheets of flames from the exhaust, kept the Scooby boys behind amused!

Caught something that took a chunk out of the side of one of my new rear F1s and ruined it but never mind

Who were the two lads in the blue Scoobys who kept my heart rate up in my attempts to at least keep them in sight round the twisties in the rain? Excellent blast, top fun

Massive thanks to MTR, whens the next one?

Despite being left behind by a fiesta and a clio and having to wait for Mikee to turn round after realising that I wasn't behind him anymore (some of us were following the map!) and then being caught up and overtaken (by some - not all) of group three, we actually had a really enjoyable day!

Thanks for an excellent meet MTR!

I think the drive over to Chester and then back down to Derby afterwards was a bit too much though - got home at 6pm absolutely knackered!!

Lizzy and Mikee (who can't be ar5ed to write his own post!!)

Another great meet Martin ! Excellent route, it was an excellent drive despite the weather and Sunday drivers. It was my passenger's first Scooby meet (apart from TRAX2001) and she thought it was so good she wants to know when the next one is !

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into this, I know everyone appreciates it and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

You'll get used to it eventually, everyone else has

Who was in the red Scoob that I followed?? I meant to come over for a chat at the finish but forgot just wondered what you must of been thinking, having a 90bhp Fiesta hanging off your're bumper

Sorry for not showing for this one - problems with tyres on both sets of wheels....one set has next to no tred, and the other has a tyre with a slow puncture!
Probably just as well I didn't turn up as it was wet, but hope to be at the next one.

Thanks to MTR

I was very glad to see a high standard of driving...this was my first meet and I was a little wary of driving in convoy at high speed on wet roads. Despite "pressing on" with enthusiasm I was happy to see cars keeping a good distance apart, especially the one behind me! Good to see too that the leaders slowed us all down for a couple of dodgy bits.

Thanks to MTR for organising the run, impressive to see the map packs etc and the voucher for Robinsons. Well done.

Paul
