wrx type-ra from japan(to buy or not to buy)
#1
Have seen an ad on jap import site for a 1997 wrx type-ra , has been bumped at front very slightly only requires bonnet,o/s headlamp/bumper, looks very nice,83431kms on clock , blue in colour, sevice history(if you can read japanese)
this car works out at roughly 5000quid including shipping and import duties.
Is this a reasonable price ??
Any info on this model ??

Getting on 51k miles although its likely to be run on the right fuel and never driven over 112mph , a bonnet is probably going to be pricey as its aluminium if you want an original lightweight one should it need replacing.. Not a bad price I though I would say.
Quite a few I've been looking at have turned out to be quite highly modified cars, so I would check its standard aswell if I were you.
Is it a personal import you are planning?

The spoiler on a WRX RA 1997 model would be a lower level spoiler same as the 1997 UK spoiler IIRC. the bigger spolier came in on the STI4 and progressed to the WRX and UKs in later MYs. Only the STI had strut braces IIRC and all had a standrad filter ie. no induction kits so yes sounds modded to me.
