#1
Mods, can you do us a favour and keep this in general for about 24 hours or so. Ta.
Last night, my friends car registration G86BOO was stolen from Leighton Buzzard.
Before you start, I know its a Cossie, but its the mans pride and joy and hes proper gutted that its been lifted.
If you're a cruise regular then you'll know how well the car is known. So please keep an eye open. If you see it then please phone the number I'm about to post.
Cheers

<Anyway, the wheels were BK Racing 604's with ALOT of kurb marks on and one had a chunk missing, the rear diff had JB Weld stuff on it cause of a leaking case, the rocker cover was my white one, the clocks read 141k, the dash had a "Cosworth" badge on the ECU cover, the roof lining had a *** burn mark on it over the back seat... Will think of more and post it...

The car was stolen from Leighton Buzzard last night.
Might be in a lock up down the road, could be up the other end of the country.
Like I said, if you could keep your eyes open, i'd be grateful.
cheers again,
astraboy.

rik, prob not a wise idea for AB or the owner to post up the secuirty on the car, don't want other toerags that might be reading to know what it's got and how to bypass it.
I know what is on my car, but would not really want others knowing, or more to the point, posting it up.
no offence intended.

Astraboy,
I'll get my sons, to keep their eyes open when they are cruising about, as mbc said to close to home for us.
Cheers

Bloody thieves
I've had a car stolen about 12 years ago and its not a pleasant experience. ( even if it was an Astra GTE )
Hope they find it all in one piece.

Markus, I'd want to know what security was on it and how they got around it to gain knowledge in my fight against crime.
If he had good security (which I'd think he would have) then did the keys get stolen to take the car?
Or was it trailed away or just hot wired?

Don't know if this is relevent, but at about 11:15 this evening I could here someone thrashing a car with a bit of poke around the estates in LB, couldn't work out the directon the noise was coming from, but I think it was over in the Billington Park direction...who ever it was was bouncing the car off the limiter and being thouroughly leary in some quiet streets
Having been the victim of twocers (replace 'c' with double 's' from my viewpoint) about 10 years ago I know how your mate feels, and I very much doubt that with the current Politcal climate that much will be done about it

Tim, Did this car sound like a Cossie? Could you hear a dump valve or the sound of a cossie on boost? Any information would be helpful mate as I've phoned the owner and he wants to know if you heard anything that sounded cossie shaped.

I couldn't definately say it was a cossie, just something loud with some poke, who ever was driving it didn't car much for the car as they were hitting the rev limiter a lot as I could hear the tell tale stutter and banging It was too far away from my place to hear a sump valve, and I couldn't see it from my house so it wasn't in the estate directly behind mine...not really much help I'm affraid, and I've not seen anything dumped in the lanes that I travel to work along either...
