You posted up incomplete information with the best of intentions, that of trying to help someone out.
When it comes down to it, don't beat yourself up about it. It's over and done with. I locked the thread because of what people said and because, as a moderator that's what I have to do.
You've not bought SN into disrepute at all, and by the fact that people are now publically apologising to each other I would say there's a new found respect between some members of SN and the RSOC.

I greatly apologise to scoobynet for the damage I have done. I assure you that I didn't mrean for this to happen. I genually thought that people would want to help the girl.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time on ScoobyNet, but the last couple of hours have been remarkable. Regardless of who's right, who's wrong, what should've been said and what shouldn't have been said, I think we all need to keep things in perspective.

Don't worry about it. You posted with the best intentions. I can assure you that you're minor misunderstanding caused a lot more views and generated a lot more sympathy for the victims (and hopefully a few donations).
