This was yeeeeears ago, SB. Probably on a horse. I suppose you could ride the bite point on a horse, but I'd rather ride on its back. Go on, waiting for someone to come up with a cheesy horse-power gag.

but it will not effect my licence!!!

Just if I do it two more times then I won't be able to get into work!!

I was doing wait for it...

16mph in a 10mph zone!!

Jumped up security with a hairdrier... what ever next!

They have been trying to get me all week as the Scoob is not exactly quiet.. on my way in today I wasn't think about it and did the hooligan 6mph over the limit!

What a joke.... yeah okay people need to keep their speed down but it is not exactly easy to stick to 10mph and no one hairs through there.. my speedo doesn't really register that low!

I was p1ssing myself when he stopped me..

how many on site accidents have there been? must be lots if they are going to the trouble of buying a speed detector and stopping people surely? so I was suprized when he said none!!

Oh well

What sort of a penalty is that? I assume you're a permie -- get paid for staying at home

How much did you have to pay.

Maybe the company need a new way of financing the security guards

If I were you I'd go back tomorrow and try and beat your land speed record by running, then go on a bike..............and then on a skateboard.

Just to prove how petty it is.

Me childish?!

Just drive around in 1st gear, side stepping the clutch to keep the noise high & the speed low

Then give it large leaving the gates...

Or/and sit there blipping the throttle as the engine warms up...

No fine... just had to fill in the car details and where I work and stuff..

Just three strikes and your out... well you not allowed in with that car.. like they have time to check every car that drives in to see if it has three tickets.. mind you they all seem to know me.. I thought I got on pretty well with security and was nice to them...

dunno how long they last..

Hmmm, 35-40mph in first in a 10mph zone!! Think security may have something to say about that!

Ask to see the calibration documents for the speedgun, it was calibrated when?? LOL @ this **** I reverse into parking spaces quicker than that

If he was walking towards you that could introduce a 40% error . If not on a tripod then the gun swaying back and forwards could be really inaccurate. Bad luck.

Now I don't mean to be picky but....you said:

Note 'side stepping' which to me suggests a launch and nailing it around in 1st - which is good for 35-40mph! Not that it matters anyways since you clearly were not being serious

Cool

re-enact the scene from ******
Bundle the security guard into the boot; take him for a 'spin' then drop him off in the middle of nowhere

Good idea..

Or I should have refused to give my name and which office I work in stating the Human rights act as my reasons for keeping quiet!

Eh, how could you maintain 3mph or less??? You'd have to ride the biting point cause when full let out in first with no gas most cars will do 5mph or more!! Weird!

i go to a clients which is in the middle of a large companies premises, i am on my last warning, and they have no evidence of me breaking 10mph, just the sound of the car

will go in the wifes car if they ban mine, or get the client to come to me.

the 2nd time he jumped out infront of me from behind a bush at the end of a single track bridge in the premises. f'king idiot. any other car and he would have been hit. My speedo wasn't even registering

jobs worth i suppose.

What it must feel like to have such POWER!!!

It continues..

Last night the security guard that pulled me (losely speaking) was on the gate house he looks like he is 18 in his Dad security uniform and so I stopped with front bumper level with the gate so I was one car length (mine) on site.. he looked over and I did a 5000rpm standing start.. with applause from a few people waiting outside the site

This morning unrelated to the standing start my bosses boss came to see me and said that he has had an earful from the head of security because most of the speeders were from his office so came and told me to slow down, along with the others.. it would appear that it is all us contractors speeding (because none of the permies cars can go fast enough (joke)).

Ho hum..
