Warning! International Bank Transfer charges
#1
Just to warn potential private buyes/sellers I have bought some items from bbs members (all very nice) from the UK and Germany.
Although I paid all extra bank charges for the transfers myself so leaving the net amount agreed to be transferred, the recipient bank ALSO charged similar fees! I am xtremely pi55ed off with that.
So people beware we ve been ripped off.

Stell,
To avoid this, there is usually an option on the form you fill out where you select *all* Bank Charges to be paid in full, up front to your bank. This is what I've always done. If you don't do this then you'll experience what you did - further charges from the bank at the other end....

The banks are like leeches. I transferred money recently, paid the fees up front when i went to my bank. The recepient mailed me and said that there was a shortage of 40 USD that the receiving bank charged (!!!!??).
Then you wonder, why don't the bank inform you about this when you are there?
Crap banks
regards
Daniel
