Simon, you're too humble for them lot!
They just couldn't accept that a 'non-pro' beat them all!
Well done mate, yet again, and hope to see you go onto bigger and better things - it's about time isn't it?
See you sometime!

Good stuff. Even some humility for the cameras ("That was a good lap", "Really?")
I thought it would be a bit longer (the camera angles were crap too -- no impression of sideways). The Autocar article was lacking in detail compared to previous years, too (in the past it gave individual scores for both cars).

Thanks guys
It was a great day. The pro drivers were completely cool, it has to be said. Not a hint of negativity.
Everyone was joking around, but they were all INCREDIBLY serious once they got in the car.
Pedro's comment was bang on.. you don't need that kind of car control to drive in F1.. that is NOT a negative statement, as you need a totally different type of car control.
I KNEW I'd have forgotten to hold the belly in!!!!
If the camera adds 40 pounds, I hope there were at least 5 cameras on me!!!
All the best

Absolutely brilliant seeing the in car shots, looks so serene from the outside - and on the inside ! ! !
I must, say Simon did look far more controlled (is that the right word ?) than the other guys - hands flailing, opposite lock this way and that.
Well done !!!

Top one SDB. The folks watched as well. Had no choice, I had the remote. Well chuffed to see Scoobynet and your success on the goggle box.
Shame they didn't make a whole feature out of it.
Is some of the footage going to be on the CD Roms?
Congrats,
P.

OOOPPPPAAALLAAAAHHHH wicked, amazing, incredible job Simon.
Congrats on your World Record. You looked sooooo smooth in the WRX.
& coming second in Autocars sideways challenge. Its a shame they didn't mention the record in the mag, but I suppose they were all peeved at getting wipped by you.
Nice one

Fantastic stuff. The world record looked amazing.
Simon, how the hell to you practice for such an event? Is there a roundabout up the road from your house with some neat grooves worn into the road?

Despite some serious mickey taking from the girlfiend (no typo) I watched and taped the show. Disappointed they didn't make more of what was definitely the most interesting part of the programme. Coming second to the the Lotus guy is certainly no disgrace either!
