No idea but I suggest you don't go there..

just ignore the miles and fill when empty...

To calculate your MPG you just need to reset the trip when you fill up and then drive it.. when you next fill up look at how many litres it took to fill, and how many miles it did...

Miles / litres gives you miles per litre..

multiply figure by 4.5 gives you roughly Miles per Gallon..

My last tank

314miles / 53.34litres = 5.89

5.89 * 4.5 = 26.49MPG arrggghhh (sell it quick and buy a diesel!)

Is that what you meant?

Talking

26.49 MPG!!
Woohoo! Coming from a 2.0 V6 FTO I dream of MPG that high
used to get 180 miles from 55 litres, that was too scary to work out

Chocky,

Early car has larger turbo so if you run it below 3,000rpm the MPG is not too bad..

I find staying below 3,000rpm a pain in the *** but do about 600miles or more a week so have some fun mid week and then cruise < 3,000rpm..

When I take the car across the moors it is normally about 20mpg..

I think I had 30mpg once.. but that was when I followed my father-in-law in his 1.4 diesel metro for 320miles at 60mph...
