Same cars, Unexplained Power
#1
I have a Terzo and so does my friend
I have Full Stainless,57i, and Apexi Fuel and Boost Controllers running at 1.1bar.
My pal has Full Stainless,HKS super power flow.Yet his car is at least as quick as mine.
What are the reasons.
I have been told a Prodrive ECU is the ONLY explanation.

Alan,
I don't believe you can make true comparisons on the road - unless it's a dead straight road and you both had standing starts, even then you've got different drivers.
I've been able to keep up with cars a lot more powerful than mine and I've had friends, with less powerful cars, keep up with me.
All in all a few extra horses aint gonna make for much more than a few tenths.

You'd be really surprised how little difference some 30-odd bhp can make on the road.
Ive got a DEAD SLOW MY01 (well it was before the PPP ) and i've kept up with Type R's and STI's as well as modded UK cars.
Like the dude says, often comes down to the driver at the end of the day!!

I'd echo these comments.
My 245bhp scoob, can pretty much keep up with my brother in law's 311bhp Evo6
At the end of the day, a 1 or 2 second delay in response from either driver, is going to negate the acceleration differences between differing bhp cars.
