If "theoretically" speaking anyone had recorded their track times at Goodwood, what is a decent time?

Sub 1m 40s maybe?

Talking about a dry track.

Also be useful to know spec of each car too.

Cheers

Possibly could be classified as 'most unhelpful comment of the day', but I used to do 1m48s from a standing start in a 100bhp Caterham 7...

So I'd guess low 1m40s when rolling in the Caterham, hence somewhere around 1m40s for a standard turbo is probably about right

Are you going around Goodwood soon or have you been around it already. I'm going there next Monday, so I'll let you know if you like.

Cheers Steve, would be nice to hear how you get on. SIDC track day or something?

Was there in July - great fun, seriously fast circuit.

Thought loads of folks would have had an idea of times around there

Cool

But your not allowed to time for the sake of the insurance

I could probably time one of my previous laps from video, if I could be bothered. Sorry

Hello

We were running 96/97 seconds consistantly on slicks - timed by friends at the trackside - have done Goodwood 7-8 times - we're back there on 3rd November. It's a lovely track. Hope this helps.

Std STIiv - no mods (except the slicks)- using octane booster and SUL

Gary, I did say "theoretically" S'pose I really meant hypothetically.

Cheers Jo, that is very interesting.

I managed a 1m 40s on road tyres. Guess that isn't too bad on my first visit eh?

I agree, it is a really nice track. I'm going back next year, even if it is an 800 mile round trip!!

Cheers
Russ
