Possible Group Buy, if enough people are interested
#2
I was interested until I read this:

quote:
Once fitted to your car, Phantom sends detailed information about the vehicle’s location to the net of 24 GPS satellites constantly orbiting the earth - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

What a load of bollocks! The GPS satellites are transmitters, they broadcast the time to the GPS receivers (e.g. the one mounted in your car) which then do some fancy maths to work out the position. They must then transmit this positional information using another network (e.g. GSM) to the company providing the Tracking services.
Can you imagine the load on the 20-year old Navstar satellites if every car in the free world was telling them its location?
