Question

I have a bog standard spec MY99.

Can someone tell me what effect changing to the Prodrive Geometry settings will have?

How much will it cost?
How does it change the handling?
Can my dealer do it (they can't sort out the squeek in my seat)?
Do I need to get any extra kit?

Thanks

Dave

Adjusting geometry to Prodrive settings will alter the handling of the car, effectively reducing (or removing) its tendency to understeer, and generally sharpening up the handling overall.
Your dealer can only do it if they have the proper alignment equipment ie. not your average Kwik-Fit setup. It should cost between £40-60, and does not require any additional parts. Ask around for local recommendations on this BBS.
It will increase tyre wear on the inside edge of the front tyres though, but most people see this as an acceptable trade-off.
Hope this helps.

made no difference to my MY99, but the guy said the car wasnt too bad to start with.
cost £50 at micheldever.
no extra kit needed at micheldever, I know elite want to use a special bolt kit to do the rears.

I have had no extra tyre wear and do loads of motorway miles.

Thumbs up

Just done by my dealer on my MY98 (£60 ). Definite improvement on turn in - much sharper. Too early to tell about the tyre wear, but I'm not planning to do much motorway work so it may not be a problem.

I'm over near Ormskirk, Lancs. I use Intermoto in Liverpool.
