Any SVX owners here ??

Chap who is a supplier to the company I work for drives an SVX. He had a wagon before so he's a scoob fan. He's not a scoobynetter though. Actually, I reckon only about 5% of owners are scoobynetters...hence no replies to your question.
Except mine.
Which was cr@p.
No use to anybody.
SVX does look cool, sort of like the car Ed Straker drove in UFO.....if you know wot I mean.
Nuff now

Thinking about it, SVX looks a bit like a Citroen XM. And look what became of them!
Wonder if the flat 6 engine is as reliable as a Porsche flat 6? Wonder if anybody has juiced up an SVX?
SVX v 911. Hmmm...that's a no-brainer.
Are you the real Phil Hill?

Yes, I really am Phil Hill, but no, not the american racing driver......
Hmmmm, there is a small but dedicated band of SVX owners here in UK, but much more activity in the USA. We do have a guy here who is doing a supercharger conversion to his SVX, he's aiming for 400hp....... Other top mod is converting to manual transmission to get rid of the problem-matic transmission fitted as standard.....

Thinking about the 5 speed manual thing. There is an american company marketing a kit with all you need, but it's $3000....... plus import hassles. Problem is you need a good spec trans (read Imp/Leg turbo/WRX) to cope with the torque and weight of the car, which ain't cheep. The supercharger-guy has converted his to manual, so I'll just get in touch with him. I'd uprate the brakes first, which would require bigger rims........ hmmm here we go again..........

I've seen one in Aberdeen - didn't know what it was initially, and wasn't too interested after I knew what it was - strange and kinda Citreon like as someone else pointed out.

I considered buying one a few years ago. Only thing that put me off was the slush-box
I like 'em. Surely the brakes from Legacy/Impreza will bolt on, etc?

I nearly bought one instead of the Impreza, but the lure of the turbo stopped me. Nice cars, there are some nice mods you can do for the looks to update them a bit, but the engine isn't easily tuneable.

Kewl! Checked the link. I know he's an oldie now, but he's still one cooooool dude. In a weather-beaten, suntanned kinda way. Someone who could tell a tale would be Mr C Shelby. Anyone got his autograph?
Our Phil Hill: your car sounds interesting. Pleased to see your acceptance of mods being a slippery slope. I've owned a couple of extreme money pits recently

Gina,
I have his autograph - I met him and got him to sign his autograph in the programme (I think it was the year he drove his replica Ferrari).
Very nice guy, had an amusing chat with him
joni, did you get your graphics card sorted?

Lo Gina
I was under the impression that the infamous Pat was trying to shoe-horn a SVX flat 6 turbo charged 3.2 engine into a scooby. Whether it's finished or not I don't know.
