Racing M3s

I wondered what your experiences are when racing M3s. I keep getting beat in my MY99 classic and it's beginning to get to me as my mates got one and he keeps taking the p*ss! What can I do?

Don't worry about this one guys.
Poster is a notorious M3 driver who has been spotted in Hampshire and Bracknell dribbling over Scoobies that frequently seem to out pace the old boy in his poor excuse for a german taxi!!!!!!!

Hi
The only suggestion I can make is that after you go from 4th gear to 5th gear you dont change to your racing gear... you know the one with an 'R' on it. Apparently this actually makes the car go slower not faster....
Hope this helps. Give me a shout if you need any help using the bright switch... no, not the one for your brain...

I dont seem to have a problem with them!
Deliberately paced one a month or so ago on a straight to see if it was just a matter of luck? He couldnt pull away and i still had throttle left, so at the next RAB so I passed him. All very safe and sensible.
A standard UK car would have trouble though

I raced an E36 M3 on Saturday on a test drive on my MY98 Turbo, he drove it like he stole it, he beat me but I was not driving like a loony like him, he must have cut up 8 cars within less then a mile

OK, you smoked me out!! I only started this to wind up "The Boy" and he has already called me a ******* on behalf of you all.
I'm glad to see you guys have a sense of humour.
Well, I suppose you have to really, must be very disheartening staring at all those M3 taillights!!

The E30 is 17.8
the E36 Evo is 12.8
the E46 is 12.3
They dont have the figures for the non-Evo E36 though which are dog slow
Tony
PS the PPP'd STi7 type UK can get to 100 quicker than any of the above
