Thumbs up

Hi Jon

we advertise our saab and subaru stock every week in the Autotrader

The results are normally nothing short of supreme!

Make sure you go in the Sports section. If you are asking the correct money, the phone shouldn't stop!

Cheers

I advertised on Autotrader (online) and the phone never stopped ringing.

Having said that, I did advertise the car £1K cheaper than similar age/mileage cars.

Question

Depends what car it is Jon?

I sold my STI v5 3 weeks back on here (BBS)although I think a lot of people are looking for decent STI's at the moment. Sold to the first person that viewed it. In the same price range as all the others to.

my integra type-r

it'll be a very very sad day to see it go, its a tremedous car.

but it will be replaced with something estate and diesel'ish (with a tow bar), a trailer and a Roadsaloons Class C 205, ready for next season...

Jon,

What type of Pug 205 are you looking at buying ?

I've just finished my Hillclimb season for this year and had a fantastic year in a 205 1.9 Gti whic was moderately modified to produce 150 at the wheels.

However next year we need more power. On the straights we were down on speed through the speed trap.... so we'll probably looking at throttle bodies, or just some huge carbs to dump as much fuel in as possible

NEED MORE POWER

Ours is a bit of a screamer though due to the wild cam, and pulls nicely between 5500 and 8300....
Now that does sound mad in an 8 valve 205 !

Cheers

Mark

class c's are pretty standard engine 1.6's - a mere 120 bhp

I raced one at donnington on sunday. To be honest i thought that with so little power it would be boring, but it was anything but. i think the difference is that I'm so used to track days where you drive at 7/10 - even when you're "pushing" it, you're never really pushing it that hard. driving at 10/10's 6 inches off someones bumper, over the kerbs grass and grating was a totally different game. The 1.6 will do me till i learn some race craft.

Class A's are modifief 1.9's - so 180 bhp is possible (talk to Neil at Racing Solutions in Southampton if you need some Pug engine work done). Even 180 doesnt sound that huge, but at donnington on saturday (a track day) a class A pug was the quickest thing on the track - 911's, caterham's, twin turbo'd m3 on slicks included. Its very much a case of its not what you've got it what you do with it...
