Chaz! that wasnt your car was it? tat speed trap detector doesnt work does it! where you from ? you seem very local round ere! you got gold wheels on that red scoob, are you round ambleside windermere area? lee

I'm from Bowness, but I do not have gold wheels on me scoob. And yes the speed trappy thing does work, but it doesn't shout "don't pull away from this Volvo you daft tw@t"

You ought to cut your detector wire, move the detector to the top middle of the windscreen, and connect it to the interior light. Works for me, looks better and as its higher up, will "see" more.
