How can I trace a person?
#1
I need to check a persons address. Ive tried 192 but the name Ive got doesnt correspond with a registered phone at the address Ive got. Is there anyway I can find out more details about a person? The details Ive got that I know to be 100% correct are a full name and the area in which they live.
Can I search electoral roll details on line?
Cheers, Bren

Bren,
electoral register details can be checked online on 192.com ... but you have to set up an account with them first ... but it is free and you get so many hits a month ....

Thanks for the suggestions. The BT search isnt bringing up the info I need, but then he may not have a phone line in his name at the address.
I need to be able to search for the details of people living at an address OR search for where a person lives given his name and area.
A PI isnt really viable as the guy owes me money, but not enough to justify the exspense of a detective!!

Hi Bren,
I received some spam in my e-mail which may actually meet your needs.
Here is some of the blurb I cut and pasted :
"Despite offering maps and a route-finder, UK-Info Disk is still very much a people finder. Used daily, the software can save you the 40 pence a pop charged by Directory Enquiries, but there are also circumstances where UK-Info Disk can help you find people you'd never squeeze out of 192. The program excels at finding lost friends and relatives. Searching gets easier if you know part of the telephone number, or any other part of their address."
UK-Info Home 6.5
£29.95
You get address and telephone information, and a 30-day trial of the map and route finder.
Even better, apparently there is a FREE 7 day trial version with this month's PC Format magazine !!
There are some brief details here :

Bren,
i have UK-INFO v4.1, which includes reverse lookups (the last version that did). E-mail me the details (name, number and area) and i will see what it comes up with. OK, it's a few year out of date, but it might give you a better start point!
