Hello There....
glad you like my EX car - still miss the brute Matt basically got what I thought was the best ingredients to use when making subtitle modifications to the car without losing its character.
I chose 18" wheels as I'd been running 17"s on my other 2 UK scoobs and wanted a tighter more poised feel to the car (going against the rally grains I know). Plus they also gave the car more aggressive looks.
HKS Exhaust systems - what can I say - regardless of what anybody says they are beautifully constructed and finished complete with spiral welding. Some parts are mild steel (which is more exhaust performance friend anyway) which often puts some people off. Great Gains - and don't be put off by cheaper immitations.
60mm Defis - most of the important engine information (boost, oil p, oil t and exhaust gt) and just so happen to look the bomb in the defi pod.
As a daily driver - its a beaut - a little wearing on long journeys - but hey - thats scoobys for you. Somewhat thirstey on fuel (I typically got 270-290 miles from a tank) not that bad.
Insurance - I guess you pay a premium (grp 20 - same as STi's) and the mods add a bit. I was paying 1,200(ish) a year with entirely everything declared.
IMHO a P1 - or STI based car is defo the way to go. I know people say there isn't much between stock UK cars and P1/STI versions - but that is rubbish.
I think many of the things I did where typical of most other P1s for sale - so you could find a similar one
With kind permission - I give you my old car
and its replacements
economy (52mpg)
and performance (165mph 0-60 in 3.1 secs 0-100 8.5-9 secs)
No scoob - but the best of bolth worlds.
Ian.

Hi Matt, just a few question's if you have the time to answer them, am i right in saying you was the person who bought Igratton's P1? If so, I'm thinking of upgrading from my MYOO Turbo to a P1, and the spec of that car is exactly what i'm after, is there anything that you would or wouldn't recommened for a P1 seen as your car seem's to have had just about everything i would want in a P1. Would it be suitable for a everday car because thats what i would be using it for, and how insurance friendly is it with that spec? Imo i think this car is the dogs bo##ocks. Many thanks for any replies who knows this car. Ady
