John,
I didn't say official PPP or non-official PPP ... I said PP !
My question is / was, "was the SP car equipped with the Prodrive Performance Pack which will be available to us ... officially ... ! ... ?".
Can you answer ?

Am I missing something here? It is a PPP'd UK STI7 OK.
So.....
Anyone been in it/driven it who owns or has driven a standard UK STI 7?
Any comment....noticibly quicker, earlier boost, anyone !
You guys must be sober now !

Yes PPP was fitted on Friday and Yes it is the Official Prodrive customer version.
There is a significant performance improvement, with both BHP and torgue increases, especially lower down in the rev range.
Overall I'm very impressed and it transforms the car into a genuine rival to our Mitsubishi friends in terms of performance, while still staying refined, which you could never associate with a Mitsubishi.

Well Mike given that most of the dealers in Scotland don't seem to know when they are getting their PPP kits how come Stan Palmers seem to have one and it is fitted?
Whilst I beleive that it was a real PPP kit how come they got one before everyone else? Surely all the dealers should receive their demo PPP on the same day (or at least in the same week).
I know that the delivery of the product is in IM's hands but they have done little to manage customer expectations or indeed provide information to their dealers.
Whilst you are reading this Mike maybe you can confirm exactly what we get for our money?

I phoned Stan Palmers on Friday to enquire about a test drive of their STi 7 PPP car, and was told the pack is being fitted this weekend, and the car would be available next week.
I would much sooner drive a converted car before I part with £2K converting my own car, only to be disapointed.
Cheers MTR

I am sure people have lost the plot waiting for the PPP to come out, if me saying it had the PPP, doesnt actually mean it has the PPP.
It has the PPP on it, wait for Ian to fill you in. jeeez.

LOL
conspiricy theories here we come.
Yes it went on track, i have no idea what it sounds like or looks like or drives like because i didnt have the oportunity to drive it and i was busy doing my own thing when it was running. I didnt even look under the bonnet. LOL
You will just have to wait for ian to respond to tell you what he thinks and how it performed on the day. It would have been nice to have a run in the car, but that just wasnt posible.

As usual information on the STI7 PPP flooding out...!
johnfelstead.... great reply! worthy of others I resist naming! full of info, if you never even heard the engine running you cannot have been closer than 1/4 mile, are you sure it was not a cardboard cut out from the Subaru Promotions Dept.

Numptie have you been smoking something you shouldn't !!!!!

Yes the car was at Croft and it went very well. I didn't drive it all day as I had my Dax to play in and had to do passenger rides most of the day.
There is a significant performance improvement, with both BHP and torgue increases, especially lower down in the rev range.
The car is very smooth right through the rev range.
The exhaust note is slightly lounder, if anything it is a little too quiet for my liking, but hey that is me just splitting hairs.
Overall I'm very impressed and it transforms the car into a genuine rival to our Mitsubishi friends in terms of performance, while still staying refined, which you could never associate with a Mitsubishi.
I will be happy to answer any further questions or offer anyone a test drive.
Just give me a call.

Ian,
Thanks Ian for your reply It's a jungle out here ain't it I am having mine fitted Friday so will be able to test drive mine then
As I said once before M98/MY01 PPP's "did what they said on the Tin" moderate HP gains, better Torque. Smoother and Quicker so peeps should know what it will do to the STi7
Tony

If all these people are so critical of the time it has taken for this upgrade to appear, why weren't they camped out the night before at Croft so they could be first into the car to try it out?!
