Question

lol @ Sue

Steve

Can't remember if the tyres are rotational on the STi 7, if not, try swaping them left to right. If they are try front to rear.

David

Rhymes in a way!!

Can anyone help?

Can having your geometry set-up by a third party (e.g. Powerstation, TSL etc), as opposed to a Subaru dealer, affect your warranty (i.e. invalidate it)?

Just wondered.

Wink

Thats like saying if you get your tracking done at national tyres your going to invalidate something
(saying that i dont use national tyres!)
Nope it shouldnt invalidate anything, i doubt if a dealer would even notice you have had it done

Thanks guys.

But....How about if the settings are outside Subaru recommendations which, I believe, most third party settings are?

Thumbs up

Steve,

Don't worry about it, just do it! Most Scoob dealers don't have the kit to sort this anyway.

If it helps your fears my last dealer actually recommended a 3rd party to do the job, ie the one they would use anyway, and save meself 50 quid in the process.

Please, go do.

Steve

Set it to what ever you like. Worst case is worn tyres in 1000 miles or dogey handling.

Thanks folks.

My reason for asking is this,

My Sti 7 has pulled to the left quite severely since new. I took it back to the dealers afer about two weeks to have it sorted and they couldn't. I took it to a 3rd party to have it re-set which massively improved the handling but it still pulls to the left. I have taken this up with the dealer who is very helpful and suggests now that we get "a chap from Subaru UK" to have a look at it. My dealer is aware that it has been adjusted elsewhere.

Just a bit concerned if this was a problem.

Thanks David.

The wheels are rotational and are all ok. I will try switching them front to rear.

Steve.
