Geodesy vs Bell330 advice req . . . .
#1
Right then lads 'n' lasses ..
I know we are talking about 2 totally different technologies/products but I need some advice, I'm seriously thinking about spending some money on a detector/locator but not sure which one to go for I suppose in a real world both would be the ideal solution.
Which one would you go for and why or is there a better detector than the 330 ??
Thanks in advance for your help.

Kev,
out of the two, i would go for the radar/laser detector. More chance of spotting safety vans, and possibly reflections from lasers on bridges. Also, you get a feel for how many (and where) Gatsos are live.
The Geodesy group buy (GBP320 from Networx) ended a couple of hours ago, but maybe the next generation Geo will be even better (e.g. Sat Nav, download you own info etc.).
Ultimately get both, plus a diffuser, plus a rear screen LED display to say "Ya Boo Sucks Officer!"

Kev,
do a search of Scoobynet, as there have been a few deals recently. My Bel 990 (nearly equiv of a 550 which is more modern) was GBP350 at my local dealer, dropping few few tens on special offers. HOWEVER, what price is it to get nicked?
On one of the WCT3 reccies, i DID get radared by plod (in his unmarked T5) - luckily i was being good, as in sub-40 in a very hard to spot 30 on a wide downhill (and plod was a miserable ****** anyway) but it could easily have been GBP60 plus points. Don't go OTT to save money (and yet get nicked in the meantime).
BTW, as far as i am aware, we did not see A SINGLE fixed speed trap in Wales, so the Geodesy won't help in that situation!!!
