Has any one got a UK chassis number that I could use to get some parts from a UK Dealer.

I have a STI V4 and someone ran into me and I need a new bumper and bumper rail and subaru wont give me a quote for the parts unless i have a uk chassis number

Thanks

Try another dealer, just give them the "basic" details, not that much difference on those items is there?

Graham Goode will get you the parts on a non UK Chassis number. I've got a Jap import and they have been great.

No need for sarcasm guys. It is possible to quote a useable chassis number without telling all. It is only the last 5 or 6 digits which are unique. How about someone posting the chassis number "code" and let people use it with care. It's just a case of making up the last 5 or 6 digits with an appropriate number such as 045375 (a random number) which will be fine for an STI 4. Nobody is losing out here - it's just another way of getting back at IM, even if it is increasing their profit.

The radom number thing probably won't work. The Subaru parts CD is exact for every car, telling us the day it was built etc.

For a 99MY UK car

JF1GC8KD3XG03964*

X indicates the MY ie 99, Y is 00, 1 is 01 etc.

If you get stuck mail me at work with your model year and I find a UK number if I can.

cheers shark

that worked a treat at the local dealers, Donalds in Peterborough havent had the Subaru Franchise to long so are following the rule book. I only wanted the No because the car that hit me wanted to settle without claiming off his insurance but I have had a couple of quotes and the repair bill is going to come between 3-4k so its got to go through the insurance now. All the parts are the same as the UK except the rear boot lid. Will try Graham Goode for this

Thanks for your help
