Rob, true mate but its easier to re-fit the centre de cat and rear box than a Downpipe & Cat

Jason

The first ones will be done in October. Prodrive are not in control of the order in which they are fitted so I would suggest that you liase with your dealer.

Thanks Mike,

Good news, first positive info from the horses mouth (in the nicest possible way....)

Is that likely to be 1 October or 31 October? At the dealers or will the first few be at Banbury as previously speculated?

Mines been booked with my dealers for months so hopefully not too much longer to wait.

Whoopee, can't wait!!

My dealer says that MY03 STi's will be the same spec as this years so the PPP will be interchangeable (just keeping all options covered....) But he's just a dealer so what does he know, sounds quite likely though.

Personally, I couldn't give a crap if the 03 STi might look better, from the drivers seat, you can only see the scoop!

The 02 STi is pretty mental anyway, roll on the PPP!

P.s. If no one likes the 01/02 models, i'm sure it also includes the thieves

Well he isnt going to say you should spend £2k on something that is going to be crap.

I'll believe it when i see it as to fitment date, i'll believe the improvement when i drive it too. Untill then it's all just fairy tales.

I am a convert from Ford, my mate had a Scooby and I drove it sold my M3 Evo and bought one within a month. Cossies are great, its a shame you can't buy a new one now I think I might own one.
Then again they wern't a patch on my STi 7 as its all new technology.

I know, that exhaust is awesome two problems......
1. My car did 17 to the gallon when I last filled it
2. The exhaust note makes my garage door rattle when I put the car away.

It was doing 23 ish but I have been driving in 2nd alot.

Question

I'm not the only one who feels their STi7 runs like a pile of crap on Optimax then? My MY00 ran great though. Now avoid optimax like the plague Esso or BP SUL for me...

Optimax made it bog down, you would pull away and the power would be ****e, think theres too much cleaning ads in it

If anything SUL costs more than Optimax, but it's worth it, best I can describe running on optimax as lumpy or very uneven.
