Question

This is really basic right, but Im gonna buy an import Impreza this week. Is there any significant difference in performance in a MY99 WRX and MY99 STi? I mean from a acceleration, steering, braking point of view. Could you blindfold someone, sit them in both cars and them tell the difference?

You will notice the difference, although the Japs have a 280BHP self impossed BHP limit, the STI has more torque, plus some other differences in transmission, suspension, brakes etc etc.

SO if you think you are likely to want to upgrade then you must get the STI, many chipped models peak at 300BHP, and the rest of the car will take it. However STI's will cost more to insure so there is a trade off.
