Just seen the piccies on IWOC's site http://www.iwoc.co.uk/my2003.html
WOW!!!
I love it - especially the new Sti - don't get me wrong, I like the 'old' STi Prodrive, but this IMHO is nicer - I actually now want one (didn't before!!!)
The bonnet and scoop look positively EVIL!!!! brilliant!!
Ironically, the model that seems to have lost it's edge now, is the 5dr - looks awful now (granted, I only saw the normal 5dr, not the WRX, but the rear just looks cr@p )
My next car, will now be a 4dr (have a 5dr at the mo) maybe even an STi

Having looked at the videos I really think the press pic's don't do the car justice. I think it looks GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!
I can understand the bitterness of some "Bug Eye" owners. I would be annoyed if I invested in a car that didn't have the longevity of the previous model. A 24-month model life is something that Subaru should be ashamed of.

Yep, defo a vote from me.
I still prefer the classic shape out of all of them, but this beats the bug-eyed look.
Also, there's some engine improvements too, so it's not just a facelift

I love it.
Never have & never will like the 01/02....this is a major improvement.
I was very close to buying an EVO6 this week. Now I am gonna wait, save a bit more & get an 03 STi early next year.

I know I'm in the minority here but what's all the fuss about??? I think people are going a little OTT here.
Problem with bug eye is front lights (which are easily and now quite cheaply changed) and the crap rear spoiler.
I'm not that smitten with the new lights, not a big fan of the lexus style rear lights and the crap spoiler is still there.....
.............any yes, you guessed it, I own a MY01
But now I've got Prodrive headlights and a Rallytech rear spoiler I must say I'm really not that bothered about the MY03 at all.
All IMHO of course

I guess it's because the standard MY03 looks better than the standard bug-eye. If you can make a bug-eye look mean with a few mod's, I can't wait to see what the MY03 will look like with the same!

Plus...why should you need to go out & buy loads of bits to make a car look good ? It should look good in the first place !
The 03 looks good straight out the box....most people didn't find the same with the 01/02.

I can honestly say, I don't like the new front lights anymore than I liked the bugeyes when they first came out. The foglights look pretty naff as well.
Bugeyes grew on me but not enough to keep them standard.
Decided a bugeye was the next step after a MY96, but wont be rushing out to buy a MY03.
LOL @ Care3 also

Agreed RoShamBo
I'd go as far as to say that even with Morrettes, the MY01/02 still doesn't look right. (Better, but not right - flame suit on...)
The MY03 does look great in standard form...

I guess the majority of MY03 owners will be new Scoob drivers, or people trading in their classic Scoobs. I can't see a HUGE demand from the bug-eye owners - at least, not in the short term.

The front is bland.
The scoop looks like some retro american supercharger inlet.
The line between the front and rear wheel arches does not seem to flow.
The spoiler looks like it is an afterthought. Both of them.
Having said that if it drives OK I would still buy one.
IMHO of course.
Getting mine serviced next month, maybe they will have one to look at then.
