Well thats how it felt to me.
09:00hrs Went shopping - got 'raced' by a Focus off the lights
11:00hrs Went to pick me dear old mother up got 'raced' about 10 times or so on the m1, m25 and through Croydon, back to Norfampton

16:00hrs Went into town - got 'raced' off the lights by a Merc
Got raced off the next lights by a Citreon Volcane
Got 'raced' off the next set of lights and the next four sets by a Astra full of girlies.

I pulled over to check to see if i had a neon sign on the roof stating 'All comers welcome' or a boot sticker with words to that effect and no, not that i could see.
I looked in a couple of car mags to see if national Race A Scooby Day had made the events sections, no.

I let them go, 'cause to be perfectly honest it realy was not worth it, the traffic lighht grand prix is not my cup of tea (except the Audi TT last week and HE started it!) and the motorways where chokka.

Not really a moan, just really feel like Race a Scooby day but no-one told ME!.

Often an unannounced event in many areas of the country!

I always thought that sunday drivers were boring. You should have been tempted ... your mother may have enjoyed it.

Mine loves 'borrowing' my scoob if I'm away on business or holiday.

Felt a bit nervous at first but she has a 205 1.9gti for her regular drive. She now loves the scoob and wants to get her own.

Blues.

Hehe, now there's a thought - However, my dear old mother is as mad as a bag of Frogs, 80 years old and does not have a driving licence.

I had this on Saturday. Had my Dad with me in the car, so no racing.

Had an Audi RS or Quatro A4 go for a race from the lights, I didn't bother, he suddenly slowed looking stupid.
Then a lowered and exhaust modded Golf 16v has to stamp his authority on me on a round about.
Couple of other run in's as well. Go figure.

This unofficial national event explains why even more people than usual were trying the traffic grand prix yesterday.

Best of all was the stretched Granada that used to be a funeral car , but is now in use as a taxi around Manchester. I was still laughing hours later....
