Anybody know if a red 22B was ever made - I was under the impression they were all blue?

Reason for asking ( and this is sad ), I recently ordered a 1/43rd 22B from an online company. Their site only showed a blue roadgoing model and the WRC version.

I asked for the WRC version..... what I got in the post this morning (yep you guessed it) a RED ROAD GOING version.

It's a very nice model but obviously not what I ordered, it's going back but I was just curious as to whether it was just artistic licence on the colour.

I don't think they did, but I did get a similar model from a shop in Guildford. They had a red one, a blue one and a green one.

I bought a green one to match my car (Whoops, I let out how sad I am!!! - I better go watch some Star Trek!!! - Doh!!!)

All 22B's were only ever made in Sonic Blue, it sounds like a bit of artistic licence to me

If you look in the back of EVO mag (most months) there is an advert there showing a light silver 22B !!
More artistic licence me-thinks.

I heard a rumour of a 22B painted black-and-white zebra-style... (honest, search the archives)

My model 22B is more a deliate lilac... methiinks they had a bit of trouble mixing a batch of 74F ;>

when the first prototype 22b was on the cards i went on to a web site where there was a red 22b

it looked really good

shame they didnt make some more in that colour

where did you see the zebra effect car....I saw said car in Cheltenham at the Network Q rally - 1998.......wasn't a 22B though.....phew
