A friend of mine just called me to say that his car was broken into overnight (2000 MY GX) and that they stole......wait for it.....the drivers door! They broke in via the passenger door and left the CD player, set of golf clubs etc.........
Anyone had any evidence of this going on where they are?

The scenes of crime officer said that they had seen this before but not in this area (Warwickshire).

The assumption we made was that they needed the door to repair a car that had been 'comepletely' stolen and didn't want to risk buying new from a dealer as this would potentially idenify them?
