...this afternoon making swift progress along the A43 on my way to see the boys at Tyres Northampton I spied a "Safety Camera Van" from about half a mile away...managed to bring the speeds from 3 and a bit figures to NSL a bit quick but I'm not so sure he never got me.... anyone know the range on these puppies and do u think he would be more interested in the car that overtook me and never saw him??
Snooper never even squeaked..what frequency are these things on?

2 weeks to get you a summons from the date of the offence max. if it is misposted(to a neighbour) and returned to the post office then it will be to late to prosecute. funny that isnt it.

Well Richard, just think you could just be a mile an hour or two over the limit and you will have to attend the "speed workshop". I have done mine and it is 3 hours of talking about ......speeding. Bunch of **** mate! Stops you getting three points though.

If your snooper didn't squeak they where probably using laser. Bad news is they can clock you long before you see them. They usually wait until you are only a mile or so away so that they can get an accurate speed without camera wobble, but there have been cases where people have been caught at 100+ 2 miles away. Good news is that for serious misdiscretions (I.E. 100+) they will generally try to get someone to pull you a.s.a.p. Good luck

There was TV programme on a while back, and they showed the range of the laser was about 1km, but they don't usually operate at that range.
I'm sweating it out at the moment too. Saw a road-side trap a little bit late, but I'm hoping my car was obscured by the one I was following, at least before I slowed down.
