Thumbs up

Took the car down to Tuning Japanese in Aldershot today with the rest of the gang. Very pleased with the result as you can see for yourselves.

With a name like WRXMark and a classic shape scoob I bet it wasnt far off 277 when it left the factory . Torque is 236 so maybe if its an early WRX then it could have had 240/260bhp standard ??

What year and model is it Mark ?

Looks to have a facelift bonnet so it would be either R or s reg, didnt they come with 280PS (276bhp) so only a few BHP off factory power...

Oil Temperature 27 degrees

PLEASE tell me they did not have the oil temperature probe plugged in!

I think Marks WRX is an MY98 or MY99 from when I saw it at the Surrey meet

Its a MY98. Born I would imagine early part of 98 but shipped over here new in July 98. T
his was the first and only run.
My mate scoobyfury got an extra two or three bhp when water was passed into the intercooler. But it`s not my kick the pain indured at hearing the poor thing screaming during the test was more than enough.
I am over the moon that the car is doing somewhere near what it is stated to do.
Totally standard but for the scoobysport exhaust

Mark you can tell the build date by a small white tag at the botton of the drivers side seat belt .

Tuning Japanese is in Holder Road Aldershot. Also known as SMS. My brother in law has used them a couple of times. The rolling road is new and the figures appear to be realistic and genuine. Some places, it has been suggested will give you BHP per pound spent.

Tim charged me £60 for a run. I was not up for a second run as he told me the dyno puts a great strain on the engine and scoobs are renowned for letting go without warning.

Your e mail is down so hence the post.

Ian, I thought the colder the oil the better it would run. Next time I think I will drain it before as the weight reduction might give me some more BHP
