Prodrive Performance Pack.
Costs around 1,800 quid for a Bhp increase to around 240 and torque to around the 245 Lb/Ft Mark.
It comprises(depending on model year) of New back box, centre section, ECU and hoses. Earlier ones included an air filter change too. The PPP for the MY98 was'nt rated as highly as for other years.

It also retains the full 3yr warranty and is the only exhaust/chip mod that does so.

9/10 of owners who've had it done say it's worth it. Including me

What sort of import? - if it is European sourced Prodrive will fit PPP. Not if Grey/Japan.

The nice things about PPP (£1763 fitted to MY00 last week) are that it is warranty friendly, refined, emissions compliant, very torquey, fit + forget. The power/torque up to 4500rpm is better than most unmodified STi and many say that on the road there is nothing in it despite the STi flying off at the top end (how often are you kissing the red line?)

Link is a complete replacement ECU which is individually mapped to your car. Bob Rawle is the man that does it. Unichip is a piggyback chip that goes in your ECU box and is done mainly at Powerstation. Both can give fantastic results - with good breathing and full decat system sometimes very impressive indeed - click the top dyno link to see. I think it would be fair to say that they are not always fit and forget and sometimes need a return trip to fine tune them. However, they can be adjusted in future to suit other mods. PPP can also beenfit from downpipe and make a claimed 270bhp and 269lbft but this is not officially approved.

I am delighted with my PPP - I wondered if it was hesitating/overboosting, but it seems fine now. However, back to dealer on Thu to get it on the select monitor and check all is well. Overall the car feels much quicker than the claimed 20% improvement in midrange power/torque with very early spool up (2000rpm) and impressive refinement below 4k with a mad bark at full bore above that.

Probably best to passenger/drive a PPP car and some others for comparison.

Well, since you emailed me to say it was a B4, that is all a little irrelevant to your car!

Are some people never satisfied in their quest for power.
