Thanks to everyone that gave me useful info about 2 weeks ago when asking what to look for when picking a new Scoob up! I've now had it since Saturday 7th September and have booked i in for it's 1000 mile service at Days of Chelmsford
Can anyone shed some light on the oil debate? I have read about it in one of the threads in this section already and not sure what to do! does it matter if they put 5W40 in? I'm looking to keep it for a while and never want to damage it - especially the most important part (engine
) i've done 830 mile so far and have already fallen in love with Scooby ownership, just need some advice as to trusting the dealer spec oil or getting my own black stuff?
any help would be greatful!
ps anyone in the Essex area? would like to join a club and don't know of any

I look at it this way - My dealer uses Mobil 1 5-40, it is approved by Subaru, I have a three year warranty, I will be swapping the car in three years for a new one. So I am happy with what the dealer is using.

We meet at the Halfway House 2nd Thursday of each Month
BHP Performance also organises's a good meet
Flat 4 club also has some meets
Look in the Southern section for more details
