I am upgrading my car and have advertised my Terzo 'R'plate on Autotrader for a week now, with no response.

79k miles, FSSH, brake upgrade, no other mods - £10.5 k

Just recieved a phone call from some geezer in Manchester wanting to by it for £8800 cash tonight.....

What do you reckon??

If you have had no more offers, then tell him £9000 and you will do a deal.

Selling cars at the minute is not easy.

Just sold my MY01 for 13300

I'd say about £9k is right for a private sale as well

Cheers,

Sounds like a consensus then. I'll give him a ring back in 30 mins if anyone says otherwise.

One of my worries as well, I'm no expert on used 50's!

don't worry too much about 50's, they're rarely forged, and are pretty difficult.

Just rub the triangle in the centre of the bottom edge of the note against some white paper and make sure it leaves a red mark on the paper, and doesn't fade the note itself.

It would be pretty easy to tell a fake 50, the paper just wouldn't feel right. Unlike 20's and 5's which get handled so much, they feel pretty flimsy anyway.

good luck!

One other thing to try if you do the deal, rub your finger along the 'bank of england' writing you should be able to feel the raised print... works on any note actually...
