the dumpvalve is mounted direct and i got hold of a tuned intercooler from a mate, well it says tuned by sti on the magnacon mesh and it has samco hoses....but there is no direct mount for the dumpvalve.......so am assuming it is from a jap or an earlier model but all else appears to be the same.......where does the d/valve go now if it goes anywhere at all??

I would guess that your car is a 98/99/00 cos the dumpvalve fits the intercooler.

On older cars is was fitted to the left of the intercooler but not attaching
