On Ch4 tonight featured Nissan Micras, or something, pushing each other about a bit; but best of all they are trying to start a campaign to have the Leyland Princess recognised as a classic.

I don't know what went on in the second half as I was boiling my head.

Driven is for some reason trying to appeal to what it thinks is the lowest common denominator - dumbing down, presumably to lift viewing figures. Trouble is instead of being a programme I'd put time aside to watch I'm not sure if I can be bothered again.

Shame really there were few enough decent programmes about cars as it was!

Drivel was s**t before; can't believe it could get worse. I let the wife have the remote last night and spent the time reading Evo, thankfully.

Yeah, he buys some corkers. As soon as he bought the Golf VR6 I said to the missus he paid too much for it. Low and behold he's struggling for money back after trawling it half the length of the country a few weeks later. And what the hell would anyone try to make money out if a tired XR2i from auction for?????

The bit that used to wind me up more than anything was the way that they'd get to the end of a series and try to tell you that car x was best because it got the highest overall in the Drivel 100, never mind the fact that they are pitting TVR GRiff's against Daihatsu Charades.

It's always been weak; Mike Brewer should stick to Deals on Wheels

'Deals on Wheels' - top programme, even the repeats are good viewing even if they are hopelessly out of date price-wise.
I missed the buying/ selling part of Driven, must have been in the 2nd half. Still, can't have been worth enduring the reast of the crap in the show

I think car sumo is a great idea. I can just shove cars along the road cause Driven said so!! No more ignorant B@stards hogging spaces.

The Austin Princess - the name says it all!!! Mind you my mates grandad said it was the best car he'd ever driven. Mind you he's in a home and mad as a hatter.

Totally agree; 'Deals on Wheels' is classic. Why did they change the theme music from that fantastic car horn one after the first series though?

Could not believe how c**p it could get. I find it an insult for C4 to wast 1/2 of my valuable time in this way. And the worst bit (I know, difficult to find one amoungst the plethora) was when they were in the warehouse/whatever, and the group where looking around each car and all you could here were the revving of engines. I meant, what's that going to tell you? .

I watched the first 5 mins and it was such utter sh+te that I found something else onChannel 5 - Warriors or something...

...glad I did - it was excellent....two blokes learning to fight in medevial armour culminating in a joust in full armour - and next week it's Roman gladiators. Not too long before there's a fatal I reckon......

Now there's an idea for Drivel, fasten scaffold poles to a couple of cars and have them drive at each other from 200m and see who survives.

Maybe next week instead of shots of reving engines we will get a bit of tyre kicking to watch.
