I am wondering, Having already got Scoobysport centre section and backbox, I am only thinking of having the ECU changed,So does this mean I have to give up my Scoobysport system and have a Prodrive one or can I just buy the ECU seperate.

The normal way it is done involves a trip to prodrive's factory and they insist on the car being std, you cannot buy the ecu seperately unless you can pick one up 2nd hand (very rare).
I am looking into gettin the ppp but as I live in Ireland I am not too keen on a trip to Banbury.
Mail me offline if you want more details.

Thanx for your response Andy.
I have an MY99 RB5. Seems a shame having spent £400 on a decent exhaust and not bieng able to buy the ECU seperate. After all is the Prodrive exhaust any better.?

Mine is an RB5 too #350, keep the exhaust, put it on the car come resale time and sell the other seperately.
If you email me toward the end of the week I will be looking into getting the PPP.

Must admit I've wondered this too (I've got a ScoobySport back box.)

However, I think Andy is right - selling your SS system might be the way forward if you're fitting the PPP and want to save some dosh.

The "For Sale" section on this BBS will probably help...

Im thinking the same way guys, now that I can get the PPP fitted in Scotland at AF Noble.
I have the SS backbox, I think i will try the Prodrive one for a while before I decide to put my SS back on, or not.

The Prodrive exhaust does sound very nice. I have heard Scoobysport boxes and they sound very very nice but a bit loud for me, although always difficult to compare cars when different centre sections/DP too! PD exhaust at high revs sounds very hi-tech - sort of dual character really - someone said it sounds like an F15!
