Cool

Hiya Lee,
Mine took 1.5hrs to fit, it includes the PPP ecu, exhaust and backbox (manifold back removing the cat) and some intercooler piping. you also get a nice certificate saying prodrive have fitted your wr pack

hope this helps

They remove the lower cat, the cat on the Downpipe remains, fueling is changed and you get slightly better economy for the extra power i beleive they put an sti decat bit in there, but all the exhaust is replaced, sounds quiet up to 4k but after that its great and not too intrusive.
As for who fitted mine, well i went to prodrive in warwick, lovely drive and it didnt take em long
As for performance, the improvement that you will notice is in the mid range, you dont have to rev the car as much and 5th gear feels like 4th, 4th like 3rd, 3rd like errrrm between 3rd and 2nd! but more grunt, and its not just noticable, its VERY noticable
Here is an example of how much more torque u have.....
of course this isnt real
90mph on the motorway, fast moving toyota celica (150bhp one) comes flying up and wants me to get out of the way now only having had the pack fitted a few weeks before..... i oblige and floor it in 5th......
i was at 120mph before he was at 100!! yes i know there was 100bhp difference but it is that much better in the mid range and any normal uk car would have had to have downed it a gear.....
or.....
70mph, duel carriageway....
honda civic vtec, 1.8, 170bhp...
left in 5th gear, and i mean left!!
he did try to play thou
I did a topic on this, back when i had the ppp fitted, called something like "and prodrive did toucheth my scoob" have a look for it, it about 2 months back now, but definately worth a read
As for who i got it through....
this was a main dealer, but you can shop around for the best price then send them a cheque, its worth it

Hiya Lee,
They keep the original subaru filter, the ramair ones the dealer sells are not suitable for my99/00 cars, thus the reason i dont have one fitted (have an my00) but it does give you better resale, and your warranty stays intact too

Tony, is it definite that the PPP conversion removes the cat. My car has been converted and I was told that the cat remained, will it not fail the emmisions test without one.

Free flow cats are available, perhaps they fit one of these ?
