Sorry for shouting, but can everybody virus scan their PC's. Somebody is still carrying a virus which is spoofing through their contact list.
Just needed to get that off my chest

Im clean squeeky clean some one must be running without virus protection. Although I must add I have never got a virus from this site. So come on all you scooby netters check your computers, just like sex, protection is a must, you don't want it so don't give it someone else. Be responsable.

I understand your frustration but it would appear that this Klez jobby hides itself very well in the C:\_Restore directory and finding it, let alone deleting it is a far from simple task - believe me, I've been trying for over a week now and I like to think I'm reasonably IT literate. Both the latest versions of McAfee and Norton with the latest definitions failed to pick up Klez on my machine. I downloaded a Klez removal utility from the Symantec website early this morning so I'll get busy tonight.
Cheers

I can't speak for Symantec, but McAfee VirusScan does not fail to pick up Klez. If you need help give me a shout.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Id like to add that our gateway runs mcafee, and does pick up klez so I second what Jack Says...

Hi guys, this seems to be causing a few probs. Sounds like an
annoying little blighter.
Went on this site (McAfee)
http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=99455
who say make sure you have the latest dat file. The trouble is;
they also say that the W32klez, also attempts to unload the vitus
services; which obviously if successful, would make your virus checker useless.
I suppose the upshot is you CANNOT trust your virus checker with
this virus.
They also have a link to Microsoft, to download latest Service
Pack for Internet Explorer, which can prevent this in the first place ....apparently.

Other than that Symantec have a removal tool at .....

Happy days
