What happens to the car when the CAT goes, does it lose power and drives with kangroo petrol, what a complete pi55ers if it is the cat!

Only when the internals fall apart and block up the exhaust retarding the gas flow. Poor running and performance is the first stage followed by not running at all - when the exhaust is totaly blocked.

Usually you get a period of rattling from the exhaust before this happens....but not always
