Say you blow an engine or destroy a gearbox on a JDM import, if you ship the car back to Japan does this mean it would get fixed under JDM warranty as it must have one or does exporting it invalidate your warranty. Which is quite funny really as all the imprezas in the UK are actually Japanese imports . Hardly practical as you may have to pay import duty again ??, but just wondered ?

I would guess the shipping costs too & from Japan would be more than fixing the engine [or what ever] in the first place
