Was driving home last night listening ti the new 'Dido' CD, and thought how jolly good it was to drive to (Other than listening to my exhaust ) I was wondering what others rate as a top driving record/album.

Much as I like Moby, Propellorheads, Chemical Brothers etc, my fave has to be the Who - anything really, though 'Won't Get Fooled Again' is probably one of the best.

Don't really have a top driving tune, have a 6 CD multi changer in mine and there's plenty to chose from! Anything that's House or Trance.

Currently I am listening to a CD of my own production work, as i find the car is the best place to listen to tunes!

Any hardcore rave tune really. As long as it has loads of bass and its above 170bpm and it aint too cheesy, then its good enough for me.
However, my current favourite has to be a throw up between
Super sharp shooter - by DJ Hype.

I swap 'em quite often in my 6 disc changer, although MoS Chillout Sessions II was in for a while.

The Cosmic Gate album (fire....wire)is also a firm favourite (although my speakers complain big time!). Listening to some borrowed ones at the present (Progressive Euphoria or something like that).

Whatever it is, it must be loud!

Switching between MoS Chillout Sessions II and Cream Live at the mo, but only on the long boring motorway bits, the rest of the time I'm listening to my exhaust

If I'm late for work, Underworld or Fluke gets me going but I'm ready for a punch-up by the time I get there - and I'm lucky to keep my licence on the way. Similar experience with lots of MOS Renaissance etc discs I have kicking about.

For a more chilled driving experience Groove Armada - 'Vertigo' was a permanent fixture for months, and summer eves on the way to go boarding Lonnie Liston Smith 'Expansions' Curtis Mayfield and some other old 70's grooves, Marvin Gaye 'Whats goin on' blah blah....

Question

Spooky! My changer has the Di(l)do CD, Dr Dre 2001 & Who's Greatest Hits at the moment too.. This week, I have mostly been (eating!?) listening to The Sopranos Soundtrack CD's, though. Anyone else into that show? Also anyone else get a flaky Blaupunkt stereo fitted to their Euro import Scoob? Keeps turning itself on & off, No medium wave etc etc (maybe it just doesn't like my taste in music!)

Kid Rock - Devil without a cause.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Blood, sugar, sex, magik.
Anything by The Who, they seem to be popular here!
Fleetwood Mac - The Chain. You can't beat the bass solo when the lights go to green!!
